after more years than the chap has known fame, i'm still wondering why? it's not like the music bowls me over and i would be hard pressed to enjoy a 30 min conversation with him and if i was into guys, i wouldn't find him nor his choice in glasses attractive. so it's a loss all the way around. i'll sit this one out with you kalder and we can just go get something to drink.

i'd love a gin and tonic right about now. even more than a ron and coke. yup, a G and T would be fantastic...two of em would even be better.

well, i drink it with friends, but never developed a real taste for it as my 'drink'. i never didmuch with beer, either. i was always a spirits kinda guy. when we had our businesses in west hollywood/bev hills, my lunch was typically a couple of pina colodas. and for just drinking, G and T. or vodka and T. after all the years in colombia, i became a rum guy. but i still like clear liquors.

kalder.....if the story is true which it purported to be, he was the librarian at the british library after the head librarian disappeared after serving for about 50 years. and it was this young upstart's revelations in that chair that launched his ( and ultimately my) experiences.

it was way back about 1970ish when someone came into one of our berkeley stores and gave me the book. never seen the person before and he just said, 'you need to read this'.
