yadid10 comments on it's completly normal for a poor girl asking for her novio to help her with some money. this happen also in the us and europe. if her parents are poor, you should know that getting married with her means youll need to help them also. and thats not becasue they are looking for a gringo to better they life (althought that is the case sometimes), its just that in colombia family is important and the memebers help one another. this also happens sometimes in the high clase, a girl get married with a guy that has more money than her parents, and he helps them get a bigger farm, apartment, etc. some do it because they are generous and some because they want to have the wife's prarents on their side (for many reasons...)

WTF? if you want things to be done, or at least know whats going on, you have to go there and talk to the people personally. throw the phone and emails doesn't allways work, and they prefer not saying anything clear, and just we will call you later. it can be that they really do want you but the person who decides who to hire doesn't have time, or is allready planing his vacacciontios. although from your story, it seams you need to look elsewhere. try vermont school, colombus, britanico, tehodoro. if you want write me en email and i can help you with tehodoro and vermont, i mean talking directlly with the right people. yadid10 at hotmail.com

yadid10 comments on backpacker missing Leticia itself is safe but the gerilla are all around the area, there is huge drug opertation there. bringing the drugs from the upper amazon and rivers (from peru and colombia) into Brazil. Mostly cocaine, that is destinated to Europe and Africa - the majoroty actually goes to africa and from there to europe. I really hope they find him, althoug its been allready one month since they last heard of him (since he last contact his family in israel and was seen in Laticia).

yadid10 comments on Understanding Colombianas oneforyourmillion not all colombian girls are like that, i know many that aren't. i have here in medellin female friends that are single. and when they did have a boyfriend they finished the realtionsheap usually because the guy was cheating on them or wasn't mature enough. its true there are many girls stay with their boyfriend even thow they don't love him or sometimes even like him, because they can't bare being alone, but you can also find the ones who prefer to be alone than with a person they don't love. and with these girls youll allways be more happy . . . of course many will also tell you their single when they are actually dating someone else, for these ones you need to know how to get the trouth out. usually by suprising them with full weekend plan (to a farm or a beach). foreigners could have a big advantage because they treat the women good, and as colombian men in general have a bad reputation. but the sex tourism here is destroying foreigners name and mosy decent women i talk to thinks most foriegn men that comes to medellin only wants prepago, putas or sluty girls. if you show them your serious, that your making a buisness or have a job here, and that your not just looking for easy target. then youll have a chance to meet really nice women here, that are honest and loving.

yadid10 comments on Understanding Colombianas Forget about her and move on, unless you just looking to have some fun, there is no future of a serious relationcheap with a woman that is seeing you as here second or third option. there are many beautiful intelegent woman you can meet here that are honest and will be interest in you as a first option. i recommend you to look for woman that are above 30 years and that are estrato 5,6. this way there is much more chances it going to be real thing, and not a gringo hunter that wants you money. if you decide to come to live in medellin i can present you some woman like that.

Better to send her 10,000$ and move on with your life, as probably thats more or less the amount she will manage to take from you untill you realize she is really into your money . . . BUT in case im wrong and its true Love: i recommend you to come to medellin, stay in hotel or hostel in Poblado, meet her in poblado and get to know her for real. you shouldn't go to Santo Domingo as it isn't safe for you. if she wan't you to meet her family pay them the taxi and meet them in Poblado.

yadid10 comments on question.. my x is having our baby in colombia how can i get residency there. i am American she is Colombiana. well first of all you need to be registered as the child's father, when the baby is born your x needs to write you as the father. as a father of a colombian baby you can get a 3 years visa, and after the 3 years apply for more or for permenant resedential.

yadid10 comments on Capurgana and Islas San Blas in december the sea is usually quite, so you should be fine there. flights are pricey unless you take a deal that include hotel flight (like hotel almar). althought in december prices there are also higher. the boat take 2 hours from turbo to capurgana. there are boats going every day and someitmes few times in the day. they usually leave in the morning, about 8.00 am. if you want more tips your welcome to write me an email yadid10 at hotmail.com
