Is The International Departure Tax ever Included in your ticket price or you always have to pay it seperatly at the airport?

Flying AA, Copa, NWA/KLM, and LAN Perú, I've never had pay to a landing or departure tax/fee in Santo Domingo, San Juan, Caracas, Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Cartagena, Amsterdam, or any airport in the U.S.

It's aways been included in the "Taxes & Surcharges", at least up to now.

Seems that some people think "everybody's outa step but me".

I took Avianca Medellin-Caracas-Medellin via Bogota...I had to pay last week the tasas at 137.50 Bolivar Fuerte per person so I can get the barcode to go thru to the departure/immigration area in Caracas. There are two taxes for Venezuela....One of the taxes for Venezuela was on my ticket but not the departure/Airport tax..

Note: At least I changed all my money on the black market..so I did not get raped at 2.14 Bolivar Fuerte to the dollar....

The airlines normally include the exit tax but the airport tax must be collected directly at the airport.

Just change your Dollars at 6.50 Bolivar Fuerte(blackmarket).....that 137,50 Bolivar Fuerte will turn into 21.15 instead of 63.96...Dollars..
