Work remotely while travelling?

Has anybody worked remotely on an extended or round the world trip? I'm considering bringing my laptop with me and am curious to hear about experiences from other people that have done this.

peace!

Bg obviously depends on your job. There are a million ways to do this, just gotta find one that pays. As far as internet connection, that is not generally a problem, as long as ya got some kindof connection, which you can find in most parts of the world.

Exactly, so it's perfect for me. I'm just curious to talk to people that have done it. One question I have, and there's probably an easy answer to this would be if you're on the road, how do you back up your files just in case your laptop gets stolen.

cool very very cool. I'm planning something for next year and bouncing around ideas. I guess I'd need an ftp site anyway for file transfers too, so that would take care of things nicely.

Thanks Peter. I'm not thinking full time, that would be a drag but settling in one place for a bit to pick up a project or two perhaps. Just a thought, or even getting a monthly gig doing updates perhaps.
