Hi,
I'm planning on taking a little hiatus for a year (or two, or more), getting my TESL cert, and teaching English somewhere in Latin America. I used to speak Spanish when I was a kid; it would be a good opportunity to relearn. Originally, I was thinking of going to Bogotá. It seems like a place with plenty to do, I prefer cooler weather (I'm from New England), and Colombia has significance for me. However, based on what I've read online, I think I would prefer to be somewhere less popular. It seems like it's becoming a trendy place to go, and I usually avoid trendy places just for that reason. Additionally, I read that it's a total hassle (more so than most other places) to get a work visa in Colombia.
Anyway, I was hoping to get some suggestions as to what other places I should consider (and why). Thanks.

I even agree with his comment about the women and the food too hahaha. Best quote of the week... "should I be taking this pill with wine?" Canadian Girls Kick Ass! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
