Buenos Aires

Looking for a fun, social place to stay for a couple of weeks. A private room in a student residence or nice hostel/hotel (with single rooms) would be a possibility. Something where you can meet people. What do you recommend?

I would also like to study Spanish with a good teacher one-on-one for the two weeks I am there. What schools/teachers are good? If they have a student residence all the better.

Is this city a good place to learn spanish for a couple of weeks? I hear that the dialect is a bit different. The city really appeals to me though.

The grammar is the same that in Spain, so to learn the basic spanish is ok. It doesn't matter the "tu" or the "vos", you can learn both and then use the right way on depends what Country or city you are.

You are welcome. Answering your PM, I think that the best thing is to come here, stay in the Recoleta Hostel and then looking for the Academy here, and if you find one that you like, then move to a student residence.

But to come here, The Hostel Recoleta is a very nice place to stay. Some friends of mine were there and they enjoyed it. Is situated in a very nice district from Buenos Aires, near the most beauty and important Avenues (like Quintana, Alvear and Santa Fe). I was there one time visiting my friends, and is really good.
