As a single parent YOU and only YOU are being counted on by your little ones. You don't have your partner to fall back on for support and that can be really stressful at times. Try being violently ill and having an 8 year old that just wants to go to the beach, NOT stay in the room while her mom can barely move out of bed.
Has this happened to anybody? Unfortunately it happened to me, but LUCKY for me I had my mom with me, but I often wonder ....
Having a childcare background, I've always been one to travel with creative supplies and other fun stuff, so we probably would have ordered in pizza, did arts and crafts and if you're lucky enough to be in a hotel, watched TV or a movie.
What would you have done?

It helps if the kid is still in the "cute" age of course.. I would imagine the parents of the hotel staff would be sympathetic and find a way to help you out. So yea, I have no idea. It definitely makes life easier being 2 parents.. Poor but snappy 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
