Long flights with a baby

A buddy from work travels a couple times a year and now that they have their daughter (she's about 2 now I think) they take her along with them of course. He was telling me a story about the bassinet and that they had requested it but were told that their baby was too heavy. Did you happen to catch the weight restrictions? I guess you'd have to reserve the front row seats as well.

The baby snugglies are amazing. I used one with my daughter ALL the time when she was a baby. I preach to all my friends that are new moms and dads about the baby snugglie.

I sat beside a dad on a flight once and he had his little guy (almost one year) almost the entire 5 hour flight in his snugglie. The little guy slept 90% of the flight. A LOT less stress and tiring for the parent than having to worry about dozing off yourself and your baby rolling on to the floor ;)

The best part about this story is that we didn't realize until the flight was almost over that in the row and seat directly in front of this man, sat his wife with an identical twin. At first we thought they were passing the same baby back and forth until mom had to finally get up for a mandatory restroom break and she plopped the twin down on MY mom's lap! hahaha! My mom was looking back and forth between the two little guys and said, Oh my God there's two of them. Very cute. I guess you had to be there.

Hey, here's another take on the long haul flight with the baby. A bit more expensive but might with worth the money for a super long flight and if you plan on driving in your destination too.
