We're going camping with our 1-month old baby. So here are some things we're planning, I'd love more tips and tricks!
- We'll take a sling, of course.
- She'll sleep with us.
- We'll have a sleeping bag for her.
- We tested it in the garden yesterday. She didn't sleep good at all, waking up at 3am, so we ended up going back in the house to get some sleep. We'll try again :)
- We'll use a plastic container to bathe her in, I think.
More tips?

babygirl says on Sep 30, 2008, 15:05: LOL I admire you both, Peter for considering it and Kat for doing it with kids that young. When my daughter was that age I don't think I would have done it. I was a bit nutty and was overprotective of her, it would have been a nightmare for me. Now I think I'm a bit more laid back and could handle it, but I'll have to wait for grand kids to enjoy that ;) Best quote of the week... "should I be taking this pill with wine?" How did you make out with the little baby? Best quote of the week... "should I be taking this pill with wine?" Canadian Girls Kick Ass! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

kat1 (Moderator) (Trustee board) (☼Travelguide writer) says on Oct 1, 2008, 11:55: i went campin around Europe with my 19 old moth baby and i was 6 month pregnant, the funny thing was that half way trough our holidays, my sister, husband and baby new what to do every time we arrived to a new campsite, we opened the boot of the car to take the tent out and each one of us new what job to do, my little boy used to carry the little bag were the pegs were and he used to go around giving to my husband, I remember one day a guy staying on one of those campsite told my husband he never saw a tent being put up so quickly jajaja we were becoming experts, my son loved exploring every country, pity i just took pictures and never a video :( we went as far as Italy, some campsite were great others no so good specially in the eastern countries and also we went when the iron curtain just came down so although everything was cheap, some thing were not up to the European standards in those countries, also in some countries like Poland in that time it was difficult to find Milk, so sometimes i have to get cream for my coffee and another things :).
