How should i travel from Taiwan to Thailand?

Ill be visiting friends in Taiwan in September but i only plan on staying there a for a few weeks. Whats a good way to travel from Taipei to Bangkok thats both flexible and affordable? Expedia had flight from the 700USD and china airline had flight around 300USD. Does that sounds fair? Any input would be great.
