Rikito...thank you for your post regarding my question about property ownership. I'll be in Bogota next week and would like to talk with people who are straightforward and know what they are talking about regarding US citizens owning Colombian property. Do you know of anyone in Bogota?? Thanks...Daryl

Rikito, was up the road from you for a few weeks but laid low due to the situation where I was and the ERG actively probing around where I was. Was very interesting to say the least but I remained in the barrio. Only PBH'r I met was Lowell a few times, was a great time but short. I love the area and am working on securing a future there as we speak with the family. Definately got a great video of the valley area just up from Cartago off on the right (Pull-off). Did not remain long as I was attracting attention with me and my video camera. Hope to be back there later this year. Listen, we need to talk as we have much in common....do you have my email address? In the subject line enter Colombia, Armenia whatever so I can recognize it, thanks.

Hey Rikito

I see from one of your posts that you live in Armenia? I am planning a trip to colombia, do you think Armenia is worth seeing, or maybe Salento instead? Just wanted an opinion from someone that lives in the area.

Thanks!!

Rikito,
Do you think that having 3 misdemeanors 2 of them coming off in one year with no similar offesnses for one year; would get her deported ? And all of these happend within one year. She also has 2 DUI's from a different state one in 2004 and one in 2006.

I would definitely prefer that if it is possible for her to stay in the US but if she is getting deported I have to keep are family together by any means necessary. What would you do ?
Thanks.

Rikito,
She has legal status (Permenant Residency) that was just renewed last year that I personally saw with my own eyes. She was told by a friend of her mother who works for INS in Miami to not get married because it would alert immigration and her current charges would show up and open a can of worms that we should try to avoid at all costs untill some time has passed and some of the charges come off of her record after 1 year as long as there are no more similar offenses.
This is the only advice that we have that we think is the most reliable since the source it came from works for INS.
If you have any ideas please let me know.
Thanks.

Rikito,

I live in Highlands Ranch and know very few Colombians so I doubt we've ever met. I've met a few Colombians but then realize that don't have that much in common with them for whatever reason. It's weird.
