Cel phone dilemna

I recently won a Samsung cel phone worth around 12.5K. That same day, I was robbed. No one knows that I lost the cel phone and I was planning to buy an exact same one and pass it off as the one that I won. My dilemna: Do I buy the cel phone?
1. I know that it is not my fault that there are bad elements surrounding us, it just felt so cruel that after having the feeling of "WOW NEW CEL PHONE" everything will be taken away again.
2. I won't be able to buy a new celphone worth that much again bec. although I can afford it, we are not rich and the people around me will tell me that "you can survive on a much cheaper cel phone" worth around 8K.

So do I buy this cel phone or not? please help :)
