Anyone need Machu Picchu Tips?

Just came back from PE. Had a wonderfull experience in Lima, Cuzco and MP. If anyone needs any guidance let me know.

If interested book your trip as soon as possible. Locals are afraid they can limit the amount of people visiting MP due to the high impact of tourism.

I would like to take you up on your offer. I am traveling to Peru mid october for a month. I am planning on spending a week or so in Cusco and trekking to MP. Then heading down to the Amazon Basin for most of the rest of the trip. I am planning on taking a river boat from Pucallpa to Iquito and possibly beyond. I have never been to Peru so I would appreciate any advice as to what to see, what guide company's are good to use, where to stay. I am a budget traveler. I have traveled in Ecuador staying in hostels and homestays. I am 62 years old and in pretty good shape but do not have alot of experience camping (and really don't want a lot of experience, lol). One of my questions is do the guide companies furnish the camping gear or will I have to rent it? I am looking forward to any feedback on any and all phases of my plans and any suggestions as to places to see or stay.

Bob. My tips.

- Place to stay: In Cusco I stayed at the Loki hostel 11 USD a night http://www.lokihostel.com/cusco A few blocks from the main square. Graet place and great atmosphere.
- If you're planning on doing the Inka Trail it's not an easy ride. The rent everything you need. There are plenty of places that acan plan your trip.

Contact. He has connections all over and can even pick you up at the airport.

You can't do trekking with out an agency since 2002 you must do it with an expert that's why you sould hire a machu picchu tours like www.totallyperu.com or other reliable agencies for trekking andyou can choose the amount of days you want to spend there the shorter one is of 2 days

enjoy peru!
