Hello Olga, thanks for that very sweet message. I am colombian, but have been living abroad on and off since I can remember. Ive just moved in with my boyfriend and we are living in leafy *code word for boring* Wimbledon...I love Camden Town though, its such a crazy place!!! I have lived in Essex before...I went to Uni there for a year, in Colchester, moved to London because I am a city girl and well this is where all the jobs are.
I am off to Colombia in December/January, and planning on visiting Manizales, Armenia and Pereira as I love the area and my boyfriend has never been there. He has visited colombia 4 times I think, so if you need a foreign perspective for your husband, I am sure my boyfriend could reassure him. We could meet up or something when youre down in Colombia...or London for that matter.
Cheers!

ok if you know london you will know the holloway road, next to the new arsenal stadium on the holloway road there a few latin cafes, 2, colombian and 1 ecuatorian, easy to find, if your coming into london they are on your right hand side about number 300 past the ferodo bridge primarily they have free latin newspapers full of info. If your coming from essex A13 blah blah lea bridge road etc destination emerates stadium. Also if your in town anyway check out Elephant and castle, there are 2 huge roundabouts there, ( you know south london) stop if you can or pull over ha, it's all flooding back to me, so now your are on top of a BIG barrio latin especialy colombian community, look around and you will see "Tiendas, Almuerzos etc yea realy its great, but my point is here you will find colombians sending stuff to colombia so entonces get there take care

jajaja. . the other logo was one of my early works on a CAD soft. . . I imagine a "latin american lego", and I re-design a lego figurine with the face of "el chapulin colorado" a mexican hero. (Or better a mexican anti-hero. . I think that el chapulin colorado has the same pace as "don quixote". . . jejeje)

I been study and working, and as one of my disco' s favorites songs "she works hard for da money". . . jajaja. . . and you are more than welcome to left messages on my profile. Your wise and kinds messages are always well receive it.

I haven´t been on the states nor england. I speak english becouse I have an unusual disorder. . . I suffer from adult dislexia, so, I prefer to write on a keyboard instead of hand writing, I confuses the "s" with the "5", the right with the left. I´m not really good making math exercises as in algebra or calculus, but i can understand and "imagine" complex and diferent solutions on physics. (That`s why I change my electronical engineering career to industrial design.) And besides I have a few advantages, ones are languages. . . I have an unusual way to learn different languages. (It´s kinda strange becouse not so long ago, i was an english teacher in a colombia´s university, and i´m a undergraduate student. . .)

and thanks for offering a home in england. I hope someday i could pass by and say hi, to a nice person as you´re. And . . . i will have a cup of good´old colombian coffee waiting for both of you (Your husband and you).

When you arrive to bogotá, please let me know and I will show you around. Its a nice place. . .

Bye and take care. . .

hey yes I was born in Venezuela but obnly stayed there until the age of 3 so I ddidn´t get to know my home country. My parents are both Colombian thus I consider myself Colombian and I lived in Colombia from the age of 4 to 7 then went off to Canada which explains why I speak perfect English. Currently I am living once again in Bogota. I see you are planning to visit again. Don´t hesitate to write a note and say hello. If there´s anything else that you´d like to know about my interesting life (lol) let me know ok ..see you.-

hahahaha. . . you´re the very first person to figure out. It´s a really old japanese cartoon, made in the seventies. He´s known as "mask rider" (maybe your husband remenber it that way). I speak japanese too but if I put "gekko kamen" (moonlight mask rider) nobody can really understand. About industrial design, it´s not sofisticated. It´s just a way to understand how and why we can interact with our surroundings and how the objects affects our senses and our quality life. As for example, your keyboard. If you see the first line of keys "qwertyuiop" was set up that way, becouse some guy (richard dreyfuss) made a lot of studies compiled in book called "the measure of men", so in that book says that this special way to set the keys (the alphabet) made more easier the specific task of writing. So an idustrial designer (me soon. . . hahaha) have to made a negotiaon, among beauty (product likeness) ergonomics (how that object is going to affect my body?) and art. And that´s how products are designed. Some examples:

http://www.ogormans.co.uk/dyson_dc08.htm
(This vacuum won an award. . .and you can buy it in every corner in europe. But in colombia it´s a luxury. . . no vaccum cleaners. . THAT vacuum cleaner. . hahaha)

About dislexia. . no dangerous at all. It´s just a funny thing. I can do things that nobody can. As for example, the "vulcanian" regards, and move my fingers independently. . .

Nobody really "nail" a language. It´s always something new or something different. It´s more like a living self that change. So don´t worry. . . it comes with the time. If you´re bored on your job. Just quit. I´m deadly serious. "live is the thing that happens in the meantimes you´re making plans" (Jhon lennon) and with every sunrise, always rises a new opportunity.

And i owe you a coffee. (;-).

Olga. . .

You have to introduce me your husband. Sounds like an interesting character. Of course I´m into the manga & anime stuff (japanese cartoons and japanese comic books). And tell him that I have a good cd' s selection from 70´s rock (deep purple, judas priest, black sabbath, metallica. . .) I´m sure we will get along.

Nice to hear from you again. And keep in touch.

Bye.

Y usted es chévere. El mundo debería estar mas lleno de personas amables y menos de gente inteligente. . .

Hey Olga.. Not to butt in... But, I don't know how well craigslist works in the U.K. or how close to the main U.K. cities you are... But, you can post your for sale items on... http://london.craigslist.org/ aside from quite a few flakes, it tends to work well for selling some items... Good luck, and congrats in your move.... I just got back from Pereira....

Well, I hope it works for you... No guarantees, but I used craigslist here in the U.S. and it works for the most part.... Posting pictures of what you are selling will help, because if you don't you'll get a million e-mails asking for pictures....

Pero, bueno... Cuando te vas a mudar?... Mi prima vive en Manizalez, pero cada fin de semana se regresa a Pereira.... Dice que esta muy calmado Manizalez y todos se duermen como a las 8... Estoy segura que esta exajerando....

Well, I was in Pereira, but for about 3 or 4 days overall.... I was mostly in Bogota with a side trip to San Gil.... I love Pereira and I know it well enough... My family lives there, so I have to go even for a day to visit them, or they would kill me.... It is growing and has grown since my last visit.... They have a huge galleria and a Super Huge Exito... But, I've only been to like 3 Exito's so, maybe I was just going to small one's before....

Buena suerte.... Y seguimos cotorriando... Chao... Msaucey...
