Are there any good Spanish language schools in Monterrey, Mexico?

I am considering the option of travelling to Monterrey on my next vacation and would like to do two weeks of intensive Spanish while I am there. However, I have normally found it difficult to find out about many language schools there--which almost surprises me given the size and importance of this city and its relationship to international trade. Any suggestions?

P.S: I am already conversant in Spanish and thus would want advanced level instruction.

Yes, check the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, ITESM
They have great options with room and board available.

That is the best choice.

Not cheap. And not optomized for immersion... the TEC is a University, providing semester classes of approximately 3 hours a week.

The short answer is no, Seth. Though this town is big and important, it is not a tourist destination, and it is very expensive. Neither loans itself to affordable immersion programs. UDEM has one during the summer months...

Why Monterrey? There is a language school in Pueblo of the kind youare seeking...

I simply thought about seeing Monterrey because I have seen Mexico City, Guadalajara, Puebla, Oaxaca, Cuernavaca etc. As the third largest city and one with great economic importance I thought it would round out my travels in Mexico to have a sort of overview of the country. I think you are right, though. As an industrial city there aren't very many language schools because few tourists come there. It still surprises me somewhat that there aren't more language schools given the size of the city amount of international trade there.
