PBH: I agree with you completely. It was how I started off my comment...to give an opinion....MINE! I don't see how it should in any way offend or insult anyone, when they are giving one of their own. And to think, I was basing it on personal experience...MIS dos centavos!!!

Well, everyone...you know what they say..."An opinion is like an asshole...EVERYONE has one!" After living 40 years in the US and only months back here to Colombia...I have to agree with Monita. COLOMBIAN WOMEN: Jealous and many of them are very arrogant.. badly dressed... a downtown jeans and matching cheap tank is NOT stylish... The OPERATIVE word here is: "many" I can make this comparison from experience and what I have seen so far. I first lived in Bogota a few months before moving to 'quilla. You can go downtown/El Centro and the many of the women you can see dressed in tight-ass stretch-jeans and tiny cheap tops with their huge bellies hanging out. To ME that is just tasteless (it's like "spandex" not everyone can wear it and wear it well). I can ADMIRE the hell out of a beautifully-fit Colombiana bare-bellied in some form-fitting jeans, but, C'MON....and truthfully, what is admirable about a woman (especially the older ones) with her stretched-marked, pot-belly jiggling out over some tight, ill-fitted jeans on display for EVERYONE to see...like its a thing of "beauty"? WHO here is attracted to that? Seriously? When I first came here, I was like "Whoa! Is this REALLY the style?" It's tasteless and cheap; NOT style! It may not be ALL over Colombia that you see it, but there's ALOT of it here. You couldn't catch me dead with MY stretched-marked, pot-belly on display to the public (I have a bit of pride still left in me...I pack it well). It is a matter of class! As for: "Jealous and many of them are very arrogant" ...I could care less WHAT another woman thinks or says about me (if you aren't sleeping with me, trust me on this one)! If a woman has the gull to stare me down and frown and comment on ANYTHING about me, "honey, it's because you are jealous!" And you should be!!! It is obvious I got your attention and your nerve. I HAVE gotten alot of that since I've been here. I don't "look" Colombiana (yet). I still don't fit in. The accent and the way I dress are definitely not from here...I command a strong presence about myself; possibily "intimidating"...but that is who "I" am! I don't look my 46 but, like I said, I can admire the shit out of a beautiful woman and give her all her dues. Colombian women are the most beautiful in the world and I am proud to be one. But when, some "wet-rat" from some pueblo has the nerve to say she is of a better class than me (and I just MIGHT have been "insulted"...if she had been beautiful)...it's not arrogance anymore...it's IGNORANCE! Like Monita, this is just my opinion (and trust me on this one...I have a HUGE Colombian ass)! ;)
