Cuenca vs Vilcabamba - Ecuador

As well as beaches, I am interested in comparisons between these two cities. I have only been to Cuenca and thought it was the best place I had visited in Ecuador. How does Vilcabamba compare?

Both Cuenca and Vilcabamba are great places to sit back and watch you hair grow , not much else.
Vilca. has better weather. In some ways Cuenca society is very layered. A portion of the population tends to be very arrogant & Cheap .. Expats in Vica. consider them selves old hippies . I lived in Cuenca for a couple of years and still have friends there..

Villcabama is a great place to go relax for a little while (or forever) Good climate, very quiet, surrounded by small mountains.

It´s a very small town so Im not sure how i´d compare it to Cuenca which is much bigger.
