Cheap Spanish Lessons & Great Atmosphere

Hi,

I'm currently in Colombia and plan to head to Ecuador in a few weeks. I'll probably also stay in Ecuador for 2-3 weeks. Can anyone recommend:

1) some great cities where prices are cheap and close to hiking opportunities, plus cool bars and cafes?

2) cheap language courses (specifics please) where I can learn Spanish?

Thanks!

Go to Quito Mariscal (sp) area and walk the street - there are so many there you will be able to choose a teacher you feel comfortable with, Great bars here as well - Coffee Tree open 24 hrs and many nearby. Nobar is a v'good disco. Spanish lessons 3 to 4 usd an hr one on one - hostels for 8 usd single room.

I would def checkout Cuenca - very beautiful city with lots to do.

Investment Strategy - buying when others are crying!! Offloading when others are gloating!!!
