The good: location, selection of movies
The bad: laundry service, internet
Try to get the 3 bed dorm instead of the 7 bed which for some reason is the same price. The laundry service is a rip. It is a 8,000 COP which is 4 USD for only a small load which is hung dry and can take up to 48 hours to dry and you have to pick it up yourself...your stuff may go missing as it is hung dry for everyone to see and access. I pay 3 CAD for a wash and dry at home.
The internet is 2000 COP which is extremely slow. Use the faster and cheaper internet cafes down the street.
The owners are not that friendly which is surprising because most Scots are friendly. Tony was a bit more friendly and helpful than Kim...I was there for a over a week.

firstworldrefugee says on May 26, 2009, 09:54: Nice place, well managed, lots of good information. My only complaint is the location, right on a very noisy and busy street, so bring your ear plugs or get one of the few rooms off the street. All in all a great value! Sure, it's a slow poison, but who's in a hurry? 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

hosteltrail says on Jan 10, 2010, 12:34: Sorry to hear you had a bad experience . We do our best to provide a warm and welcoming hostel for all our guests and I believe that most of the time we do achieve this. Our laundry service is the same price (if not cheaper than most of the major hostel in Colombia and in three years we've not had an issue with any laundry going missing. The laundry area and lockers are all monitored by CCTV. In the summer season, Laundry can take 6 hours to dry and in the wet season around 24 hours. We regularly receive comments on how fast our internet is - we have three new computers with 2mb internet but anyone who has travelled will understand that at peak times, the bandwidth is reduced if their are a lot of users.
