These are worth seeing. This is a link to a really neat film on YouTube:

Colombian Chickens are crowing about the new President of the U.S. who will assure that From each according to their ability to each according to their need.

These are two great concepts developed by Colombia. Supposedly Miami is studying the Transmilenio Bus System as an Alternative to light rail. Seems like a No Brainer but maybe the Politicians like Manny Diaz and Carlos Alvarez(habaneros) couldn't line their pockets(or their friends' pockets) with enough $$$. They started the Miami Ciclovia(on a smaller scale) last year and its growing monthly. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday!

:) You and I both bufalo...

To be fair, the idea of BRT was started in Curitiba Brazil in the 70s by a mayor they had named Jaime Lerner. Other cities have adapted it, but most adaptations are backwards evolutions towards standard bus service, rather than metro-quality service using buses.

Bogota is the next major *forward* evolution of BRT, following Curitiba - and has become famous for it.
