SEATTLE – The number of swine flu-related deaths outside of Mexico rose after the U.S. reported its third fatality and Costa Rica its first, but both men also suffered from complicating illnesses, health officials said.
In Canada, officials said almost 500 hogs quarantined on an Alberta farm after being diagnosed with swine flu had been killed because animals were becoming overcrowded since the facility was barred from shipping any to market.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

babygirl says on Nov 6, 2009, 18:42: People are going nuts here (Toronto area) over the vaccines. It's crazy. I was at a walk in clinic earlier this week as I had flu-ish / cold symptoms. Normally I just ride it out, I'm not one to run to the Dr's for every little thing but I was a bit nervous after reading about the teen that had died a couple days earlier. I waited for over 2 hrs to see a Dr. The clinic was packed. Everybody was there to get checked for H1N1. (despite what we all hear about Canada and health care I've never had to wait that long at a clinic, maybe it's my area.) Best quote of the week... "should I be taking this pill with wine?"
