La Frggitoria serves very tasty although not humongous portions of fish 'n' chips.

The owner, who spent 3 years in Ireland, has created a low-key ambience in Medellin ideal for anyone who is missing their favourite chippie from back home.

J&C Delicias's business model is based upon the well-known phenomenon that Colombians just can't get enough of the cardboard-like, almost tasteless bread, otherwise known as arepa.

Indeed, the arepa is perhaps Colombian cuisine's most treasured symbol. Unlike so many other types of food, the arepa knows no boundaries between rich and poor or breakfast and supper.

And any sense of belittling the arepa in this review could land one in great danger with those who are not content to eat arepa just every day of the week, but also whom feel slightly apprehensive about not having an arepa close to hand when venturing out into the restaurant wilderness.

BABYLON
Babylon is a happy-go-lucky, sugar-coated disco.

Babylon has become famous for Ladies night on Thursdays, when women enter free of charge and can consume beer, aguardiente, rum, soft drinks, sliced mango and popcorn, absolutely free of charge.

Men have to pay a cover charge of 30,000 pesos, which seems a small price to pay for a club full of drunk pretty young things, where one doesn't have to foot the bill.

J & C on Ave El Poblado is horrible and the service is worse. Their service is consistantly bad and I have been there like 10 times (what can I say it was withing walking distance to my house). I was even scammed there - they said they needed to run my Visa twice due to an error - well, the bank called that night and multiple attempts to use my CC at Exito on my Visa were declined. The credit card was within my sight - but now I check the machines and make sure the seal is not broken.
