So many of you were very interested in submiting designs yet now that the time is here to deliver, only one person has sent Adriana or me a suitable design. Was all the other all empty and only for show?

Bill Turley (Moderator) says on Aug 16, 2009, 06:15: The only design I have gotten, ( actually 3) were the compass designs. I am sorry you didn't approve of my handling of the tee shirts contest but those most vocal with their complaints, take a good look in the mirror. Mr. Bill Somondoco 1 funny, 0 helpful. |

Sam Salmon says on Aug 16, 2009, 06:39: The stuffing has been knocked put of the contest by endless delays and squabbling from the usual suspects if it doesn't go anywhere then that's life. ' a la orden!' 1 funny, 0 helpful. |

GringOrion says on Aug 16, 2009, 09:13: too bad that people put the effort into making designs and then aren't sending them in so they can be placed on tee's to be sold. what's it take? an email? i think all the designs that were being "voted" on should be up there on cafepress and let the actual sales do the voting, as someone else suggested.... whatever happened previously is water under the bridge - so let it go.

Lisa Zee says on Aug 16, 2009, 09:18: I am very busy at the moment buying a new home and selling mine. I am not really spending more time on the t-shirt, I did my best, and it got out of hand. Let the more passionate ones print it. The truth will set you free. 1 funny, 0 helpful. |

Bill Turley (Moderator) says on Aug 16, 2009, 14:50: The winner will still get a free shirt after everything gets settled and the winner will still get the fame of producing the design, just like it has always been Mr. Bill Somondoco 1 funny, 0 helpful. |
|
njc (Dev team) says on Aug 16, 2009, 14:59: Again, this is the same problem that plagued the "contest" in its previous iteration. I think people need to know exactly how and when a winner is going to be chosen for it to actually seem material.

GringOrion says on Aug 16, 2009, 17:17: once the designs that were involved in the voting thread are submitted to be placed on cafe press, if sales are going to determine a winner, then there should just be a set amount of time to allow shirts to sell like a month or two and then choose a winner directly from the best seller in the time limit placed on it. i think a month or two ought to work. most of the designs were simple enough to recreate at 300 ppi if necessary.

Bill Turley (Moderator) says on Aug 16, 2009, 17:57: OK That sounds reasonable so lets say 6 weeks after we place the designs in an open market situation like CafePress we will determine the winners. Now how much more time for the submissions Mr. Bill Somondoco 1 funny, 0 helpful. |

GringOrion says on Aug 16, 2009, 20:25: a week? seems ample. see what peter thinks.
