Sorry another boring question about the 60 days

Soemone is arriving in Bogota on 2 Jan and leaving on 3 March.
If they count 2 Jan as day 1 then 3 March is day 61.
Assuming he gets the 60 days visa then potentially this is a problem.
However the departing flight is at 00.40 on 3 March, so if he goes through emigration on 2 March before midnight, he shoudl be OK. Does that work?
Any advice please?

If I were them I would just go through immigration on 02 Jan a little earlier in the evening. Bogota is a busy airport and I have never been asked to present my ticket at immigration exit.
