What is the policy about coming home after-hours? I wouldn't want to show up at 4am-ish and have to ring a bell or buzzer and disturb everybody. What's the price for a couple - same as the quoted room price? Do you have hot water? I am interested, just need some more info. Thanks

sounds like a better option than getting a single room at a hostel.

I myself staying long term here and it cannot get any better, highly recommended, much better than any hostal at El Poblado and you can have a taste of the real city/people and still be a few metro stations away from 10 street.

What is the monthly rate? Do rooms have a small refridge or microwave ect? In Prado I am only familiar with the area adjacent to the Oasis Hostel, which I may add is another nice lower priced alternative. Is this place near there. If so it is a fairly nice area. Do you have pics of the rooms and house? I sent you a pm but not sure you got it. KF

Prado Centro is a nice estrato four barrio with nice architecture, lots of culture and a lot of professionals working and living here. As far as safety goes it's a mostly residencial area so it gets quiet after say 9 or 10 pm so if you're out late I would advise to take a taxi back (wich you probably would do regardless wich part of Medellin you're staying)
With some simple precautions and some common sense there's really no reason to have any problems in any part of Medellin.
I understand that staying here is not for everybody but if you're not afraid of seeing the real Colombia in my opinion this is one of the most interesting places to stay, very central and besides that it's also a lot more affordable
