The thread was demoted because the outrageous and scandalous claim that Medellin has somehow surpassed the Sub-Saharan African cities with one-third of the populationis infected of HIV and the statistics show a mortality of AIDS that is leaving a whole generation of children orphans was never backed up with any reliable statistics or even reference. It's not enough to say "a have friend who says that".

Spreading unsupported rumours like that do more harm than good.

My source still attests to her comment, however she now says that Medellin is not number one but number two after Brazil. Anyway, the best thing to do next time is not to jump in joy to delete or demote anything but to wait until the author (s) has more reliable information or wait to see if the source will come forward with her evidence.
