Pollo Pollo Pollo

Never seen so much pollo as in Colombia since Fantastic Mr Fox had dreams.

POLLO, POLLO, POLLO E MAS POLLO!!!

Cheapest I had was 5,000 for half in Monteria. You can get a whole chicken in Santa Marta for 10,000 but they looked better in "Tropical Pollos", 14,000 for a whole pollo. Was watched throughout eating the pollo by the lady assistant . Told her women have walked out on me when I eat out. One said I eat like Tyrannosaurus Rex outside a kebab shop. The trouble is they ignore the important things like character and good looks. Lady had a great sense of humour; thats one thing I have found here in Colombia. There is always one person with a great sense of humour.

When I finnished the pollo I got up but couldn´t move. Great place Tropical Pollos!

Whats the difference between Colombian Pollo and Pollo from the rest of the World???

Good business strategy - throw in a few spuds that cost next to nothing and your customers get filled up and leave the joint thinking "Man, that was good food and it's good deal."

As for the price, Rubito may say you're crazy for paying the equivalent of US prices (you can get a complete chicken, no spuds, for $6 USD in Whole Foods or Costco and the occasional Mom & Pop restaurant), but if you're on vacation, who cares?

I wanted access to health care, housing and education, but, no, I get potholes, trash and silicone tits instead. -Desi.

There's a ton of pollo because it's cheaper than anything else. Plus, you can fry it, boil it, sancocho it, grill it, bake it and just add a few papas and arepas and you're all set.

Now I'm hungry.

We have a grocery store here in Colorado called King Soopers and they sell an awesome rotisserie chicken. Guess what I'm having for dinner tonight. =D

Before you get too hungry, all that pollo makes me a little blocked if yoy know what I mean. But thats nothing compared to these arepas here! All deep fried, with an egg or papa inside. You might as well deep fry a cork for the effect a couple of them have. Anyone know if there is a problem with constipation in Colombia beacuse of these?

Ohhh man....people are reminding me of the pollo a las brasas in Peru. For as little as $1 you can get a quarter chicken, slaw and fries. Roasted over wood charcoal - crispy skin, juicy meat. Hmmmm.

First of all... TMI !!!

And secondly, it sounds like a personal problem to me. You probably don't drink enough fluids to keep your junk hydrated. If that's not it either, then a daily dose of Noni juice will do the trick.

Good luck with your next bowel movement.

Just eat some tainted street vendor peanuts. That will clean you out real quick. Worked for me 2.5 years ago.
