Oh the fritanga!

Why does a neighbors fritanga make our house smell like french fries?

There are a few places up in La Calera in the mountains to the East of Northern Bogota. I'll add you a map in a minute.

I can't find a good map, but basically it is a short, safe drive outside of Bogota. At around Calle 100 and Cra 7, you should see signs to La Calera. Anyone in Bogota should be able to guide you there. I always go with family or friends and never drive so I can't give you exact directions. La Calera is actually a small town, but the restaurants are on the side of the road leading there from Bogota. They are outdoor, simple places but the food is amazing.

It is a great place for an afternoon outing and some great food. It is a banquet style lunch with lots of great food and they'll keep bringing you more until you can barely move. The views are quite nice as well. I haven't been in a while which makes me question my sanity.

Here is a search link to flickr with lots of pictures.

That picture looks aweeeeeeeeeesome!! I can just taste it. Last year we had some hen at a restaurant in Bogotá and since I'm not a big fan of it my husband's uncle ordered a side plate of boge. Oh... my... gosh that was good! =P~
