I'm fed up with the guys that are in charge of our apartment in Bogota. I have a dark blue suspicion they take advantage of the foreigner who is abroad. I get a different amount into my account every month even though it's the same guy who lives there and pays the same monthly rental fee. Some months i don't even get any money at all! The agency doesn't send me receipts or breakdowns of any kind.
So: who knows a inmobiliaria that i can sort of trust in the Bogota area?
Thanks!!

Even though we are now here we have left the listing with them because they have always been up front and straight. The company is Corretage Inmobiliaria phone in Bogota is 612-0911 ask for Amparo or Johanna. Tell them Gloria Galvis sent you. Mr. Bill Somondoco 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

webmanco says on Nov 1, 2009, 07:33: I don´t know clearly what you want, but to avoid inmobiliarias, owner just put the property into an insurance company, they will interview the future tenants and approve only the ones who they think will not fall behind in payments, and if they do, the insurance company will take care. They pay rent every month but I don't get my money! right now the agency takes 8% and charges an additional 3% for the insurance which is fine with me. However, I only get about half at the end of every month, if any at all!

pedro (☼Travelguide writer) says on Nov 1, 2009, 08:09: Have a look at the contract. What is the notice period for changing agencies (if any)? I wouldn't be surprised if you aren't allowed to drop the agency until the tenant moves on and the contract completes.
