JetBlue from Bogota

Hello to all,

Just had to make one of my several visits back to US that I make each year...which become more and more painful...

Anyhow, I flew the relatively new route from Bogota to JFK/NYC on JetBlue for $184 one-way and thought it was a fine flight..just in case anybody has not done it thus far.

The line in El Dorado was easily an 1:15 though, and I would for sure say arrive a minimum of 2 hours before departure based on this. For the BOG/Orlando section, the DirectTV in the headrests doesn't work until you are flying past Cuba. Luggage pick-up was pretty darn slow, but that was about it. Really friendly flight staff, drinks+snack for free, $20 for exit row seat with extra leg room, quick, easy, and painless flight for a heck of a lot less money than I have ever paid. They DO charge 50.000COP for a 2nd checked bag though.

Hope this helps to all who are considering flying with them

Best

Best thing you can do is be a good passenger with them (IE: don't request special seats, just man up save money be a BIT uncomfortable, hit the mcdonalds at el dorado or something before you leave if you want foot, and don't check ANY bags at all!

No matter where you go, the Korean tour bus isn't far behind.

This could be the best news of the month for me. With connections in Orlando to the west coast via UA, I could save a pile. Thanks feltz0084!

Are any extra fees besides the airport exit tax charged? Or is the amount listed in the "Taxes / Adult" section the final amount?

I just booked a flight and the tax info sent in the confirmation email and the tax info from the homepage seem to be contradictory.

Thanks!
