interested in working under a contract to come to canada but i see that post was deleted...perhaps the mods think im a troll...just to set it straight ive only ever posted under one profile and one profile period.Don,t know what rule i broke..if any..
In any event i,ll try a different aproach and hopfully this post won,t be wiped out.
Does anyone know of a website where i can post to seach for a forien colombian worker?...Or perhaps a location in colombia where i could post the job positions.Im here in Barranquilla right now and would prefer to actually meet any prospective persons interested and id also prefer not to use an agency that tacks on fee,s for nothing and is rip off........this will probably get deleted......oh well.

bopenyan says on Jan 27, 2008, 13:20: I think your post was deleted because you suggested that the worker work illegally in Canada. If he or she is caught, not only would they be deported from Canada, but the Canada Border and Security Agency shares its info with Department of Homeland Security which means that that person would be toast if he or she were to try to enter the US.

jinksmiester says on Jan 27, 2008, 15:10: No...my post did not suggest anyone work illegal. The work would require a visa through immigration canada as well as approval (which i have) to hire forien workers . A man is not old until regret takes the place of dreams 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

guacharaca says on Jan 27, 2008, 21:19: Please do not get anyones hopes up. Canada usually only gives work visas to married men who leave their wifes and families at home. There were 75 Mexicans men living on nearby farms here in my town in BC Canada and that is the only reason they got their work visa. Leaving their wife and family in their home country is a sure fire method to ensure that they did not stay in Canada permanently. Robert Jorge says on Jan 27, 2008, 21:39: Hey Jinks, I think the post must have been deleted because it started getting pretty ugly and nasty in the thread. A few people kind of questioned your integrity and made fun of you for your wage offer. I don't remember anything especially bad though, so I am not sure why it got deleted.

jinksmiester says on Jan 28, 2008, 05:31: It could be the post started getting nasty...i was,nt following it that close.People wishing to question my integrity can do so if they wish but im not playing games and have nothing to gain doing that.On that note i can,t promise anyone a visa as that rests in the hands of immigration canada. For my part i do have approval to hire the workers and that said there are lots of people right now working in alberta on temp visa,s and lots of them ARE from colombia. If they have the skills required for the job ...why not?Anyone on this website who knows alberta knows this is factual and also knows the difficulty faced by every business trying to maintain work personal. The wage scale and benifits are in line with what a canadian worker would be paid (it has to be in order to get approval to hire a forien worker). It would be nice to say everyone deserves twice what there getting paid and double the pay but im operating a business not a lucky strike gold mine. In the real world things don,t work that way. I do have staff that are getting paid substantialy better wages but they have worked for me for several years and if they thought i was screwing them on pay or they could get paid better elsewhere they would have been gone a long time ago.In all truth its cheaper to hire a canadian as i don,t have to provide airfare..accomodation etc...but the only way to get a canadian is if im very lucky a few come around or i offer wages far over and above everyone else to the point where it is no longer profitable to operate...if you pay one a lot better rate..you have to pay all that way so then what?..double the cost of payroll and go broke??? Robert Jorge says on Jan 28, 2008, 20:55: Canada must have simlar work visa programs as the US does. My little town doesn't have a workforce, but has a huge need for workers in the service industry. Basically, there are companies who contract with foreign placement companies, apply and obtain work visas for foreign workers, and then import the workers for 4 to 6 months to work in a restaurant, bar, hotel, retail store, etc. The kids make decent money, get to live in a resort town and see the US a little, the businesses get good help, and the placement companies make a good profit as middlemen. The middlemen also do most of the hard work in getting the kids from foreign countries here.
