I have heard that anyone who receives an investor visa here in Colombia is allowed to send one cargo shipping container without any hassle from DIAN unless it appears to be commercial goods. Is this true? Does anyone have any more information on this subject. Does it also apply for business visa(specifically Temporal especial)? If the goods are used, are they not considered commercial?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

If you want, PM me your cellphone or fijo and i will call you. i am in Ctg, and have shipped and recieved one container already, and in the process of a second one. BTW, there is no such thing as a hassle-free time with dealing with a Colombian port. You will age at least 5 years, guaranteed. Gator says on Sep 28, 2009, 18:14: NEVER hear of that rule. Suggest you contact DIAN in Bogotá before preceding. Stop and think for one minute. An 8' x 20' cargo container holds about 1280 cubic feet. I seriously doubt that will be allowed tax free. "Bene, cum Latine nescias, nolo manus meas in te maculare" . 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
