Congratulations Colombia!

I will elaborate on this post later on.

"anything enabling Colombia to get out of its isolation and international seclusion, especially in terms of culture, is a good and positive thing."

What "seclusion and isolation" are you talking about? Colombia is very much an active member of the international community. It's not like we're North Korea!

“enabling Colombia to get out of its isolation and international seclusion”

Are you saying that because Colombia did not join the so called “Latin American Socialist Revolution”?

“but I'd argue that, on the whole, Colombia is indeed about on par with North Korea as far as international acceptance and recognition is concerned.”

That may be the view in France…but what do you think the world thinks about France?

Ok today I was going to elaborate further on the video posted on Caracol in the section, "Entretenemiento / Television" but the video about the Mental series in Colombia has been replaced by a new video, "Caracol mas cerca de ti en Canada"
Basically I remember from the Argentinian producer who was interviewed by Caracol, he said that Colombia is or will be "El Hollywood de la Latino America..." He also said a lot of good stuff about it but I do not remember all of it.

As many of you know, Colombia has produced a great number of TV series and several of these series are well know abroad for its quality and creativity. Cafe con Aroma de Mujer, Escalona, Pedro el Escamoso, La Costeña y el Cachaco, Betty la Fea, Guajira, La Potra Zaina, Sin Tetas no Hay Paraiso, Las Juanas…

Telenovelas colombianas 80s (reel)

Colombian soap operas

Mental is an US English series shot for the first time in Bogotá.
“Primera vez que una serie es grabada totalmente en inglés en America Latina con actores norte americanos y con más de 1000 extras colombianos…” Caracol TV
The Mental is the first the production filmed completely in English in Latin America with American actors and with more than 1,000 Colombian as extras. The TV series has been filmed in Colombia since 2008 and it will air in June of this year.
