Which station is the closest to the Main Bus Terminal? Is it close enough to walk to once I arrive in Bogota or will I need a taxi to get there? If I take a taxi will it cost the minimum or how much?

La_Huella says on Sep 14, 2009, 13:33: kat is right, all the buses that leave the airport go down cll 26 and the terminal is south of av esperanza, a little far to walk, especially with luggage.

adrienne79 says on Sep 14, 2009, 13:38: I'm not coming in from the airport. I am coming in from the Bus Terminal. Thanks for trying to help. Also, I won't have any luggage. Coming in for only a day to take care of some paperwork. I want to know how far is the closest Transmilio station from the Bus Termenal and what is the name of it?

La_Huella says on Sep 14, 2009, 13:51: Depending if you want to walk it, you could stay on the east side of Boyaca and then go UP Americas and hit the Mundo Aventura stop, OR you could cross Av Boyaca and get a bus or just take a taxi from the terminal and go DOWN Americas and get Mandalay.

adrienne79 says on Sep 14, 2009, 14:21: My destination is near the "Quiroga" station. Cra. 13 con 32. The problem with taking a bus to my final destination is even though, I am familiar with Bogota, I'm not familiar enough to know when to get off a bus. I'm making the assumption that it will cost around 15,000-20,000 by taxi to my destination and I will be in no hurry at all. So if it keeps me occupied and saves some money, I am willing to do it.

viajero123 (☼Travelguide writer) says on Sep 14, 2009, 14:36: hmm, then I would take 2 buses, one from the bus terminal to El Centro, get off at Caracas and take Transmilenio.

La_Huella says on Sep 14, 2009, 16:00: There's a bus that goes up cll 26 to downtown. I'd get that, get off at Av Caracas (hard to miss with the Transmilenio) and just walk 6 blocks north.
