Another one of my favorite places to chow down - El Chorote Restaurant in La Calera

To me, nothing says I am hungry, than slabs of great, tender, succulent meats all being cooked to perfection. It defies the imagination, why people line up to this place for a great hearty lunch, especially on the weekends, with lines still building up until 3:30 pm in the afternoon. You won't find any grasa ( fat ) over here. It is just pure cerdo (pig), carne (beef), pollo (chicken) and many more. The arepa de chocolo is to die for, and certainly one of the best here in Bogota.

But, if food is not enough for you guys to trek over here, then it is the ambience of the place and the whole area. It is a great way to get out of the city, and enjoy mother nature itself. I guarantee, that you won't regret your decision, for both your time and your wallet. It is a feast for your taste buds, and yes, I love to eat !
