Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

I wouldn't have been able to comment on your apparent 'sloppy Spanish' as I'm no where near being fluent..hehe. Welcome. :) Best quote of the week... "should I be taking this pill with wine?" autohog says on May 14, 2009, 05:23: Thanks for your advise, and a little more if you will, any bills that she makes during marriage, am I obligated to pay them or is she responsible for half of the bills?

autohog says on May 14, 2009, 08:17: She has had my debit card the whole time and has handled all the money. So if I were to file today and get divorced in a month ( never that fast) she would only be given the one more month? And since I am not signed on anything, she would have to pay the bills in her name?

FreakyG says on May 16, 2009, 07:56: Catamd, I figured I would write this on your page as the myth or reality thread was getting out of control. I believe when most people think of plastic surgeons, they only think of things like botox, facelifts, tummy tucks and similar procedures. They dont consider burn patients or people who have had their face disfigured. I live in the US and very recently we have had our first face transplant and the lady's story is horrifying. She was shot in the face by a shotgun and somehow survived. Seeing a picture of her face or what was left of it was a very sobering sight. People shunned her, kids were afraid of her but she is well on her way to becoming "human" again. The surgeons who did this work really gave her a new beginning in life. I can very much appreciate what you do for a living and am sure you have touched many lives. Thank You Eversomuch, and then some 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

autohog says on May 16, 2009, 15:12: Thanks but I really would like to try to work things out. My wife had a bad motorcycle accident when she was a teenager and was in a coma for a few days and I think that alot of this may be a result but I still want to cover my bases. The day I posted, she went out and bought me a new motorcycle so I could "get out more". Not the actions of a "gold digger" since she must know the law as well, and knows she is responsible. I just don't know, " for better or worse" and I guess this is the latter. Anyway thank you alot for you input and if you ever get up Cucuta way give me a shout.

FreakyG says on May 21, 2009, 11:26: Hey Catamd, thanks for writing back. You sound like you are very passionate about your job. I can imagine you get a great feeling making such a huge difference in people's lives. I find it funny when people say you cant change the world. I have always disagreed with this and feel you can change the world -just not overnight. It seems to me that is what you are doing -one patient at a time and really impacting their lives for the better. When I did architectural design for clients, I tried to provide the best possible value for my clients and as can happen in any industry, there were mistakes. Well, if I made a design mistake, a rich person might have to spend more money on the project -no big deal. When plastic surgeons make a mistake, there can be real big problems. Do you do find youself a bit nervous before doing a serious procedure and if so, do you have anything you do to get you into the mindset you need to perform that surgery? I used to do endurance mountain bike races and had a tradition I practiced before every bike race. I would listen to some Miles Davis and try to relax before the start which is a very hard thing to do. I would have some songs in my head for the duration of the race and I feel this truly helped me as I felt inspired to do better. Thank You Eversomuch, and then some 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Mephisto410 says on May 25, 2009, 04:26: Cata, in regards to your preparation H for wrinkles comment, i know a competitive body builder, and every time before a competition he rubs his abs down with it, along with purposely dehydrating himself for a day or two prior, this brings out the muscle definition much more. it seems to be common practice in the sport. so perhaps the wrinkle thing does have some truth to it. FreakyG says on May 27, 2009, 14:17: Hey Cata, Thanks for writing and I have to say that you are a very cool lady. I am glad to hear music is a big part of your life as it enriches our existence for sure. To say a prayer before you perform a surgery really shows you are sincere about what you provide for your patients. Reading that made me smile. What kind of music do you like to listen to -any favorites? Thank You Eversomuch, and then some 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
