I am interested in checking out Porto Alegre, Brasil and I do not
know much about the city, things to do, places to go, lodging,
nightlife, the people. I have heard good things but nothing from someone
experiencing the city first hand. Has anyone lived or traveled there? What are
your impressions? Thanks.

Alvinho says on Jul 25, 2008, 20:48: well, I was born in south Brazil, in Porto Alegre, proudly....Porto Alegre may not be a cup of tea for conventional tourists who seek something more "exciting"........its downtown is seedy....I admit it.....but its nightlife is one of the best in Brazil ever with the hottest and smartest girls....
