Hi Bill,
It sounds like you're running a nice little operation...I don't really get it, do you want to pick up classes?

Namaste Bill, thanks for your input on where to find real estate. Right now I am looking for something downtown while my girlfriend finishes her studies in Zootecnia. Eventually we want to open a self sustaining ecological finca with luxury farm stay option and simultaneously supporting the local comunity, wherever our finca will be. We'll have just about any animal you can imagine (all in due time) and if all works out well we'll develop it towards a yoga retreat for whoever needs to get away from the ratrace. You never know, one day we might just be able to sit back and relax in peace and quiet and take a breath of fresh air

Bill, This is a repost of a comment I left in the big font thread.

If you are using Internet Explorer, you can go into "Internet Options" under the "Tools" menu. On that first tab, you will see a button for "Accessibility". There you can choose "Ignore font sizes specified on web pages". This, in conjunction with the "Text Size" item under the "View" menu, will allow you to size the fonts to your liking. It may make some web pages look strange, but you can make the font as big as you like. Also, in IE 7, there is a zoom option. You can hold the Ctrl key and hit the " " key to zoom a web page.

That same key combination will make fonts bigger in Firefox and older versions of IE. This only works in older IE version if the font sizes on a given page have not been set using style sheets.

I'm so hip, I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis.

Hola Bill. I was reading several of your posts about Somondoco. It sounds like a great place. Since you’re off the beaten trail there what is the cost of living like? What could someone expect to pay for a home and cost per month to live there. I am hoping to get to Bogota in October and get out of the city more this trip. Scouting for retirement.

Hi Bill! My name is Nicholas. I live in New York. I am 50 years old and I am planning to move to Colombia. I have been to Colombia about 6 times over the years, and, obviously, I like it.
I am retiring from the US post Office in December and I am looking into relocating to Medellin. I will have a pension, not a whole lot of money, and certainly not enough to live in the States (how sad is that). I looked into moving to Mexico, but I prefer Colombia. I also want to teach English when I am down there. I know that I will need to take the TEFL course and find work in a school in Medellin. Since you have been in Colombia for some time now, can you offer me any advice that you deem useful? Looking forward to hearing from you. Nicholas

Hi Bill! Thanks for your kind message! I was brutally attacked (lol) by most members who couldn't believe a colombiana could be bilingual and well educated. Had to prove that I actually existed!!! Can u believe it? Past is behind us and nowadays I really enjoy reading posts and expressing my thoughts on PBH. I live in Villavicencio, I read you live in Somondoco. Never been there, but I have been to a lot of places in Boyaca and still think that along with Llanos Orientales, you have the best landscapes in Colombia! Cheers!!!
