Freedom of speach, repression and the purging of PBH.............ron, MES, simon templar, S_A, you will be missed.

'Repression comes in many forms including but not limited to the recent deletions (PURGING) of PBH.......and yes a mods job is to moderate, something that CG does well at, despite all the crap he has to put up with he is still fair...NOT something I can say for the other mods...I was not at all happy with the recent deletions because all the people involved were not deleted across the board. CG corrected that and though I still do not agree with the deletions of some members who were controversial but ALWAYS looked out for our best interest by posting the cons, scams. and degenerates it is my problem and not the mods..For all those of you that suck up to the mods in order to further you little, sad personal agendas I would like to leave you with a Question and some thoughts. And remember the mods "dont care" about your little spats....... .

So, are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field inPennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was 'desecrated' when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?...Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about theHoly Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for chopping off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

0D

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide ..

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution'sBill of Rights.

0A

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.

=0 A

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care!!

If you agree with this viewpo int, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:

'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem' -- Ronald Reagan

0A

I have another quote that I would like to add AND.........I hope you forward all this.

'If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under' Also by... Ronald Reagan

One last thought for the day:

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said: 'A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in.. And how many want out.'

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

- No, it was not. It was your own government using a "false flag" strategy in order to continue support of the "military industrial complex".

By the way, what does GOD have to do with the deletions? When I hear you denounce other religions and promote you own,

I don't care..... but, maybe this guy does

Well... that was interesting! Reverend Sir, I'm still trying to determine whether you posted this just to tweek the moderators, no conclusion on that yet.

As to when the "war" with Islamic extremists began I have more clarity.

It didn't begin on September 11, 2001, neither did it begin October 23, 1983, nor at the Summer Olympics in Munich, it didn't begin with Yasser Arafat blowing up planes in the 70's. It certainly did not begin with the Crusades, which just in case anyone is interested... were the delayed response by Christian Europe to a couple of hundred years of Islamic aggression which had gobbled up nearly two thirds of Christendom during those centuries. That delay was due to Europe having to fight off other aggressors that looked a lot like my avatar. Anyway, up until about a hundred years ago or so, Islam celebrated the Crusades as a great victory for them... Why? Because, well rat spit, they won! (Islam 1, Crusaders 0) But I digress.

So when did the "war" with Islamic extremists begin? It began the very day, nay, the very second that Prophet Mohammed (s.a.a.w.) chose to spread his teachings with the sword rather than with humility.

dwmte7- Doug you are correct on the spelling, only I used the Turkish spelling since I lived in Turkey. Mevlana Celaladdin Rumi is buried in Konya, Turkey, that's Biblical Iconium if anyone's interested. Yes, he and others like him are the other side of the coin of Islam. I spent 3 years as an outsider (non-Muslim) in a Sufi order here where I live, the stories I could tell. The Shayk had to leave his home country due to death threats, primarily because he is a pacifist.

One thing I might disagree with the Reverend about is when and where this started. With all due respect to the reverend, I think that our interest in Isreal is way overstated. I think the Muslim world has some right to be bitter against the Western world. I feel that the USA in all of its glory and wonder should become more Isolationist and let the Jews and Muslims both burn. Do I hate what happened on 9/11 ? Of course. Even most people who hate the USA don't like what happened. I only beg to differ on the root causes of why this type of thing is happening.

I do agree in general with what the reverend is saying, however I dont think you sound much like a holy man any more my father. No you sound like a man, (much like myself) who realizes what he is and what atleast some of his faults are. He realizes where his blood comes from and the war that comes with it. Hell it wasn't until Christianity came to the place where my (our) ancestors hailed and tried to dampen our warrior spirit with tales of love and kindness and the "chosen" people that we stopped dominating and destroying like we were born to do. Put more simply, some are born to lead and some to follow. Some are truly the sheep and others the shephards, though our good books would tell is differently of who should be in charge.

So, I love and respect those men fighting in the desert, not because of some good ole boy folklore, but because they have embrassed their desire to fight and to represent and serve something much higher than their simple lives in this world. Some men sit around and debate about what is right and wrong and cry on thier keyboards about injustice and well ....others go and do something about it. There's something to be said about men of action and men who constantly deliberate and change their stance with the changing public opionion and lies in the news media.

kat whiskers..............my business partner of 28 years who handled the rare carpet aspect of our business, hung out in london and turkey, for years...and knowing my sufistic leanings, he took some photos of rumi's tomb in the mosque in konya. what a holy chamber that is. all those tombs and and saint's turbans sitting on top. ooooooowieeeeee.

i was in an order for about 7-8 years (sufism reoriented in san francisco and wash. d.c.) i left because i didn't obey the rules and the murshid wouldn't throw me out. i took it upon myself to ask to be relieved of my vows as to not cast dispursion on the order. the basic rules....no extra marrital relations and no drugs. i was recalcitrant in all aspects and i knew that it would be a mark against the seriousness and cleanliness of the order, and like a dumb shit, instead of cleaning up my act, i asked to be relieved of my vows. you figure. hardly the prodigal son.
